Abstract
The following research is son the subject of student motivation in young people
pursuing careers of Licenciatura en Administración y Gestión de Pequeñas y
Medianas Empresas, and Ingeniería en Software of the Universidad Politécnica de
Pénjamo. This work was done with two hundred and nine students in ten
Management groups and twenty four in two Engineering groups. The measuring
instrument used is the MAPE-ll. The results were divided into three dimensions
are: motivation for learning, motivation to apply knowledge and fear of failure.
